What happens next?
We will be analysing the responses and passing the findings to the design team, who will be working on plans ready for a detailed planning application in the summer. (The outline application was authorised for approval by Exeter City Council on 20 January 2016, details available here, subject to the completion of a legal agreement).
The main issues raised at the event were around the use of the bus station by National Express coaches and the provisions made for people with disabilities and visual impairment. People also wanted to see appropriate facilities for passengers using the bus station. The project team will be doing further work to address these issues.
We will be holding a further exhibition on Wednesday 18 May (8.00am to 7.30pm) at the Guildhall, High Street, Exeter, when the public will be given an opportunity to have their say on the detailed design before a Reserved Matters planning application is submitted to the council in the summer.
