A – Alphin Brook roundabout
AW I think the pavementwidening is a waste of money which is not necessary.
ME crossing too close to roundabout for vehicles to suddenly stopso close to bend into Church Road. Would be better a few metres nearer Brookfield Gardens.
GR OK, the problem is going to be all the traffic generated by the new estates.
CC Option 2 preferred. Option 3 no benefit in narrowing Brookfield gardens junction.
KS Not needed, or move towards Brookfield Gardens.

B – Area around St Michael’s Church triangle
AW I think the roadway skirting the church needs to be closed by bollards only.
SS Leave as is, it provides vital parking for houses that have none.
GR No leave as it is. Definite mistake. As a resident on this road will create traffic flow disruption and increase pollution.
CC Option 2 -visibility improvement at Ide lane is sensible. Removing traffic island is not as t will cause problems for people who cannot walk to the other crossing. Option 3 No! It will look good but will simply exacerbate problems in neighbouring roads due to parked vehicles.
ME agree with option 2
KS No – this space is needed for parking for local businesses 3 hour parking limit.
JE Agree with Option 2.
C – Chudleigh Road, church triangle to double roundabout
AW I think the pavement widening on the south side of Chudleigh Road is another naive waste of money. In 40 years I have never seen anyone use that pavement.
ME Agree with option 3
GR No leave as it is.
CC ption 2 – This will cause a bottleneck and worsen air quality for Chudleigh Road residents. Option 3 – The parked vehicles on west of Chudleigh Road act to calm traffic. Pedestrian crossing would be better on Shillingford Road.
KS The rioad is narrow enough.

D – Are there any other options you would consider to help reduce traffic or make roads safer
AW If the traffic flows increase as anticipated it would appear appropriate to widen and re-align the exit road from Alphington onto the A30 link road and open up Ide Lane to the A30 roundabout.
GR To reduce speed fit a proper GATSO. Average speed at present is 30mph.
CC Enforcement of double yellow lines around Post Office – there is no consideration of anything north of Alphin Brook roundabout. Possibility of speed limits being enforced.
KS No narrowing of roads for pavements. No changes except for speed bumps outside the hairdresser.
