Devon County Council produced various options for the Alphington Realm improvements and asked residents their views by means of a survey which was open until the end of January 2022.

The link to the survey was Alphington Village public realm enhancements – Have Your Say (devon.gov.uk) The survey is now complete.

Much has happened since Alphington Forum was created. We have had consultations with the city council that led to the production of an Alphington Brief, and two companies Redrow and Burrington Estates (now Tilia) prepared plans for Aldens East and Aldens West respectively. Building on both sites is well advanced in February 2024. Building work on the Barratt site on Chudleigh Road, has many completed and sold houses. Work has started on the junctions for Cavanna housing, for the new school and for the realignment of Chudleigh Road. Plans were submitted for the pedestrian/cycle bridge over the A379 which was completed in 2023 and opened to pedestrians and cyclists in February 2024, and revised plans were produced for Marsh Barton rail halt, showing a new pedestrian/cycle bridge alongside Clapperbrook Lane East. The station was operational in 2023.

Several items such as the station and the A379 bridge have now been moved to Archive/community as they have been completed.

In the pages below some of the plans will be difficult to read, so you will have to download the file for readability.
