Questionnaire: The ECC exhibition was held on 18 July in the Village Hall. We believe that about 350 questionnaires were returned to the council, and we are awaiting information on the results of the analysis. When we get the official results they will be posted on this web site, and we will notify AVF members by email.
TDC Plan examination: AVF will be formally represented at the Teignbridge Plan examination on 17th September, and we will give you our impressions of the process. If you wish us to raise any particular issue, please use the contact form. If you wish to view the process there will be a public gallery.
Village sign: Devon County Council has said that they would not be able to support a sign even if AVF paid for it. This is on the basis that Alphington is a part of Exeter. However they appreciate that we also want to get a road safety message across and are looking further into that aspect. We believe that, if necessary, a version of the sign could be erected on private land without planning permission (but advertisement permission would be required). So if anyone on Chudleigh Road/Church Road would like a small sign “Alphington Conservation Area” or similar. please let us know.
